Vehicle Collision in Kodiak, Alaska

On March 10, Alaska State Troopers responded to a single motor vehicle collision near mile 12 of the Chiniak Highway. After Investigating the AST determined that a 29 year old woman of Kodiak was driving her 2004 Chevy Pickup with a 4 year old passenger when she lost control of her vehicle due to icy conditions. Her vehicle slid off the roadway and collided with the ditch and then hit a tree. Both her and her passenger were wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured. The vehicle was a total loss.
