On July 1, Alaska State Troopers received a report of a motor vehicle collision on the Richardson Highway at the Tanana Loop intersection in Delta Junction. Investigation revealed the driver of a southbound GMC Sierra rear ended the back of a Toyota Sequoia that was waiting to turn left onto Tanana Loop. The Toyota subsequently rolled into the ditch several times before coming to rest on its side. Juvenile occupants of the Toyota were transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage and were towed from the scene. The driver of the GMC Sierra received a citation for negligent driving.
