Head-On Crash on Palmer-Wasilla Highway

On September 25, Alaska State Troopers responded to a head-on crash on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway. Investigation revealed the driver of a Ford Taurus was headed westbound on Palmer-Wasilla Highway when an eastbound Oldsmobile Silhouette van crossed the centerline and collided head-on into the Taurus. All occupants of the Taurus were transported to Mat-Su Regional Hospital for treatment of their injuries. The driver and a passenger in the van were transported by ground to Mat-Su Regional Hospital for treatment. The remaining passenger in the van was airlifted to an Anchorage hospital with serious injuries. Investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
