On November 8, Alaska State Troopers responded to a collision at mile 66 Seward Highway. The driver of a southbound pickup stopped to assist a vehicle which had overturned in the ditch near Mile 66. Another southbound driver lost control of his pickup and slid into the back of the stopped truck. The passenger in the stopped truck was transported to an Anchorage hospital for treatment of injuries.

Driving Safety Tip
Turn on your hazard lights and set out warning flares or reflective triangles. Do not leave the scene of the crash, but find a safe place to remain until emergency services arrive.
Mind the speed limit. They have been established for a reason. When you speed excessively, it is much easier to lose control. Nothing is worth the risk you take when you speed.
