On September 11, Alaska State Troopers responded to a REDDI report of a potentially intoxicated driver traveling from Palmer to Wasilla on the Glenn and Parks Highways. Investigation revealed the driver of a Dodge Charger was operating her vehicle under the influence. Investigation also revealed the driver was traveling in the wrong lane of travel placing another motorist in fear of serious physical injury causing that driver to go into a ditch. The intoxicated driver was charged with DUI-Alcohol, Misconduct Involving a Weapon (the driver was also found to be in possession of a handgun), Assault in the 3rd Degree and Reckless Endangerment after being transported to jail.
