Driver Flees Scene of Accident on Glenn Highway

On July 16, Alaska State Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash near Milepost 186 on the Glenn Highway. Investigation revealed the driver of a pickup crossed the center line into eastbound traffic. The driver of an eastbound motorhome took evasive action and the truck swiped the side of the motorhome on the passenger side before colliding head-on into a Chevy SUV. The driver of the truck fled the scene but was later located at a nearby residence. The driver of the truck was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, leaving the scene of an accident involving injuries, no vehicle liability insurance and driving with license canceled/suspended/revoked. No serious injuries were reported.
