On September 3, Alaska Wildlife Troopers responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Sterling Highway and Griner Avenue in Anchor Point. Investigation revealed the driver of a 2005 Buick on the Sterling Highway drove off the northbound side of the highway and crashed into a culvert. Both the driver and passenger sustained injuries and were transported by ambulance to a hospital in Homer. Both occupants reported that they were wearing their seatbelts.
