Life Threatening Injuries in Accident on KGB Road

|

On January 1, Alaska State Troopers responded to Knik Goose Bay Road near Vine Road for a motor vehicle incident.  Investigation revealed a southbound vehicle on KGB Road was traveling in the northbound lane of traffic and collided head on with a vehicle traveling north.  The driver of the northbound vehicle was killed.  Passengers in the southbound vehicle were transported to Providence and Mat-Su Regional with life threatening injuries.  The driver of the southbound vehicle was treated at Mat-Su Regional for minor injuries.

Report information taken from Alaska State Troopers Dispatch.

Vehicle Safety Tips:

Rain, snow, fog, sleet or icy pavement increase the hazards of driving. Slow down and be especially alert when driving in adverse conditions.  The small amount of driving time reduced by speeding does not justify the risk.

Motorists are expected to use a reasonable amount of care on the road. If you or someone you love has been injured in a car accident due to someone else’s lack of care-or negligence- you may be entitled to financial compensation for your injuries or other damages.
