Driver & Passenger Injured in Motor Vehicle Collision Involving Moose

On August 16, a collision occurred on Chena Hot Springs Road when a vehicle struck a moose. Both the driver and passenger were transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. Both occupants were wearing seatbelts.

Slow down when passing yellow animal crossing signs. Be aware that wildlife is most active at dusk, dawn, and night.
